Fragment No.7

Fragment No. 7, is the 7th of nine mixed media works cast from an original clay relief of a tree inspired by the works of one of my favorite artists, Piet Mondrian. Being the seventh casting, Fragment No.7 is an abstraction, a fragment of the original tree relief from which it was cast. The following 2 Fragments continue down this path, a natural occurrence of this casting process, similar to the process of aging. The last few Fragments, are mere vestiges of the original piece, yet still hold a deep and  profound essence and beauty.
